Brown Mucus Discharge Day Of The Test

May 9, 2005 Ft Edwards / FtTiconteroga, NY (41.0 nm. 42nd stop) 10504nm

last stop before Lake Champlain. The lock waiting for us at number 7 holder of the village and passing, we discover the installation of new dock (without water or electricity) that would allow for boats going north to''make''another lock and for those heading south, to discover too late that the wharf in the village is full.
The locks were all ropes and once again the doors open, without having to call. We arrive at Whitehall and past the''downtown''we see three floating docks and more than concrete. We would like to stop and visit the city, the birthplace of the U.S. Navy set for war of 1812 with Canada! But the pass expires and you do not want to renew with only a lock to make. Once the lock, the employee we mentioned that we could have stayed an extra day without charge and the boats going south arriving late in the day they let a day pass extentionné to enable them to visit the city. Damage, have known before entering the airlock, we would certainly have visited the city. But now the lock is closed and we descended the last 5 meters, which take us back to the level of Lake Champlain, or 32 meters.
Four hours later we anchored in 7 feet of water, and for the first time in years, without the concern of the tide, before Fort Ticonderoga, the exact same spot 5 years ago.
