Leaving Nichol's Point we had thought of making a quick stop''technique''in Rouses Point, or we would have made a last''full''at the local liquor store. Four hours later we anchored in 7 feet of water, and for the first time in years, without the concern of the tide, before Fort Ticonderoga, the exact same spot 5 years ago.

We start from Castleton to 10hrs to enjoy the beginning of the updraft and achieve the new dock in Albany before the current was too violent. The only problem is that the famous pier in question is conspicuous by its absence. So no visit to the capital of the state of New York.

What was that dozens of factories, hundreds of abandoned warehouses, are now being razed, the land cleaned and a new city is being born, the streets are wider, thousands of trees were planted and new buildings are being built, office buildings, condominiums and shopping center but obviously in a much more harmonious than the''old''city. We have an opportunity to appreciate these drastic changes because we took a tram that winds ultramodern new streets in his lane, lined with trees. In twenty years, it will certainly be a very beautiful city. For now, we still see the cranes, demolishing old buildings, land to be filtered and the layout of future streets, all with wide sidewalks ... the Americans will perhaps get back to work!

The city is still as beautiful and welcoming, often the question comes, ¨ Are you boaters? ¨ and immediately following an offer of help.
