Marie Vidal, author independent professional photographer, has just released the book "HEART AND LIGHT. His book, perhaps we should say. We discover a photographer passionate about what she did.

It is the culmination of a personal project that required two years shooting the cathedral and Trojan churches.

All photos were taken in black and white medium format film prints and barium were drawn by the author.

It has indeed won the Grand Prix for Best Film Section fans: "Metamorphosis papilionum" in Namur Nature Festival ! It must also involve Truchet Nathan, his companion.

Created in 1995 by two nature lovers, the former Nature Film Festival of Namur has acquired its acclaim through his amateur film competition that was held in the largest audience at the University of Namur.

The geology course it's tiring ... Walking

Since the beginning of the fall semester 2010, I am pleased to take my classes on Monday with Environmental Geology at UQAM. As you know, that I have to go drool over (see here) but now that we have to make more field trips! Poor me ... Seriously, it was really very interesting geology applied to the environment around us. We started our journey in the Falls Park Rawdon (which is a very beautiful village by the way) to see Gneiss Metamorphic Canadian Shield (the Canadian Shield, the top of its 2.4 billion year of existence, is part of the oldest rocks found on the Earth!) and then we continued up to the Laurentians for the time scale and Attractions:

• limestone group Black River filled with fossils from the Middle Ordovician (-450 million years) in Fisk Mill Crabtree;

• old sandstone 500 million years at Saint-Liguori;

• stigma left by the glacier and till cooler left by the last ice age 20,000 years ago, and

• sands witnessed the coast of the Champlain Sea that existed here between 14,000 and 12,000 years.

short, it was very beautiful, very interesting and in addition, part of every stop was great and the day was perfect to enjoy a flamboyant Canadian autumn:

Yesterday was to Quebec, walking blue. This march is a march of support for the return of a e team of NHL hockey in Quebec.

It must be said that Quebec had a e team, the Nordiques until 1995 but this e team then é t é mut e e Colorado (!!!) of the general e despair of Quebecois ..

Since to both months, d é beats resurfaced for the return a e team. The problem è me is that it's a little history of the egg and the chicken. On O c t e , the authorities é s the NHL will not consider returning a e team in Quebec if a new ar è does not built (the Parcel e e e Pepsi Viellot so too) but on the other O c t e , What e beak does not want to build a new ar è do not have a guarantee that it entered î nera the return of a certain e team.
